Almost Last Saturday we dropped A off at a friend’s house to spend the night, then drove into Roswell for something to do. And driving into a larger city made me miss Tucson, so I suggested we go… Just to get Dunkin Doughnuts

Now Tucson is an 8 hour drive from where we live at the moment, one way. But when we lived in California we sometimes - on the spur of the moment with no planning - made a run to Tucson for Sonic. The first time it happened because we had no clue where to find a Sonic in the L.A. area, and in reality of course it was just an excuse for a road trip. But it was fun to spontaneously head out of state on a whim.

We suppressed our urge to go to Tucson that night this weekend though, and when we got home I looked online to see where the nearest Dunkin Doughnuts might be - because I really do want some soon. We discovered our options are either Albuquerque or El Paso… both a 4-5 hour drive - one way. Urggg. So yes I suspect strongly that we will head out to Tucson for Doughnuts soon. If we’ll be driving that long anyway, we should at least go somewhere we enjoy hmmm?
