Mobile Blogging Thoughts

So far I’m not getting anywhere with my attempts to blog from Windows Mobile. I’ve tried the default Opera mobile browser but it chokes when I try to insert images into posts. The wp phone mobile plugin doesn’t offer images as an option anywhere in it, and the TBlogger mobile app doesn’t seem to ever publish anything. Posts are either in draft mode or listed as “scheduled” regardless of what the time and date is for them. To make matters worse, I can’t just log in with the regular mobile browser and change the status because anything posted from that app doesn’t have “published” as an option in the status list. Urggg…

The goal is to eventually be able to post updates here from my Touch Pro phone–with pictures.

This picture was taken with the phone last Tuesday while we were out doing the final walk around on some raw land we’re planning to buy.

We’re going to buy this land and start making a sustainable home front. Initially we’re parking the trailer out there and camping just like we’ve been doing in the National Forests. In time–the next 6 to 12 months probably–we plan to buy a larger, more traditional camper trailer with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. In future years if all goes well we’ll probably build a house.

I’ll be able to continue writing while out on the land, and instead of having to go to a town area for wi-fi to upload articles and photos, I can do it all from my Windows Mobile phone now. Hence why I’ve been fighting with mobile blogging apps today :)
