More Cargo Camper Pics

Ok I finally took a little time to grab these off the camera, so I’m getting them online. These aren’t the best quality pics since I took them in a hurry before we started packing up to leave our camping spot last week, but they show a decent view of how things are “in action” at the moment.

Our Camper Door Screen

Our Camper Door Screen

This picture shows our little camper door screen. When we’re in camp we leave the back door wide open and the screen is really handy for keeping out flies and mosquitoes. Our “budget approach” for the moment is to hold the screen in place with magnetic rocks. It works pretty well but I always seem to make them fall on my head at least once per trip ;)

This picture shows an overall view of the back and inside of the cargo camper. We prefer putting the trailer under a tree whenever possible because it’s still pretty hot in this part of the country right now and that heat builds up fast inside.

The inside of the trailer is still pretty rough as you can see too. We have a long way to go before we’ll have some of the really nice customizations in place, but since we consider this our test project we’re not too worried about it :)

The bed sits up into a couch as I mentioned in my previous post, and as you can see that gives us a bit of floor/walking space. The main storage cabinet makes for a decent table type surface too, so we have places to sit things. William even put the little stove on there when it was raining and successfully cooked supper inside. The door was of course wide open to be on the safe side, and it worked surprisingly well.

This is a closer view of the couch in position. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world at the moment because we’re still using our sleeping bags and other camping gear while we get our bearings, but this ended up working much better than I expected it to. Both of us and the 55 lb dog of ours fits on this couch. It’s a slightly tight fit if the dog’s trying to stretch out though because we’ve got just under 5 feet of space from one side to the other.

We ended up spending the better part of a day inside here during last week’s trip though because it rained :)
